South San Francisco, California
This was Genentech's first high-density, high-rise building in the South San Francisco campus. As a multi-use project, CB Engineers provided for a bio-tech manufacturing pilot plant and upper floor lab space and four intermediate office floors.
The project consisted of two 40,000 cfm custom air handling units, and provisions for four additional lab/manufacturing units. The systems were integrated to the campus central chilled water, steam and lab gas systems. The project was completed with a fully commissioned mechanical, electrical and plumbing system and an active smoke exhaust system.
