Jackson Avenue Whole Barracks Renewal

CB Engineers provided electrical and mechanical engineering services for design of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) construction documents for administrative buildings for the $100 million Whole Barracks Renewal project on Jackson Avenue at Fort Lewis. The project consisted of two phases with the design completed in collaboration with the Seattle District, USACE design team.
Phase I was a FY06 project that consisted of a 200-person 3-story barracks, one medium company operations facility, one large company operations facility and one large 2-story brigade headquarters building.
Phase II was a FY08 project that consisted of a 239-person barracks, one medium company operations facility one large and one medium 2-story battalion headquarters buildings, one medium 2-story brigade headquarters building, one medium 251 to 500-person dining facility, storage buildings, and one remote switching unit building.
The Design Team of the Jackson Avenue 300-person barracks renewal project was recently awarded the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Design Team of the Year Award. Project Team also received a “Very Good” rating in ACASS for the Whole Barracks Renewal.
