The new 64-bed mental health facility is a single-story, 34,300 sq. ft. building used for new housing/treatment services. In addition to inpatient housing, the facility will provide mental health treatment, support and administrative space. The facility will be incorporated into the correctional treatment center licensing, compliant with Office of Statewide Health Planning Development (OSHPD) requirements and compliant with the state psychiatric programming.
Also, based on the governor's executive order S-20-4, the design of the facility will meet LEED Silver certification using the US. Green Building Council's green building rating system for new construction and major renovations version 2.1.
CB Engineers provided the electrical engineering including utility system's connection to the new building's electrical service for normal and essential power distribution and lighting systems. CBE also designed the low-voltage engineering, including signals, alarms, video, communication and nurses' call systems.
