Seven Trees Community Center and Branch Library

San Jose, California

This project includes the construction of a 58,000 sq. ft. two story library and community center. The total cost of the project is $35 million. The HVAC system has a high efficiency water cooled centrifugal chiller plant with custom air handling units. The electrical design incorporates high efficiency transformers with energy efficient lighting and day-light controls. The plumbing system incorporates low flow fixtures to achieve 48% water savings. The building has been designed to meet the criteria of LEED Silver and has been registered and submitted to USGBC (United States Green Building Council) for the silver level certification. The project design is 20% better then California Title 24.

CBE provided full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and security systems design and construction administration for this project. CBE is also the Fundamental Cx Authority for this project. The project is under construction and Cx is moving forward efficiently and effectively.
