The Infinity

The Infinity is a signature structure with limited room for the utility spaces including the PG&E transformer vaults. Faced with these challenges, CB Engineers required a creative approach for serving the facilities. In lieu of using the conventional multiple 208Y/120V volt transformers, we employed the subtractive billing approach, reducing the huge transformer vault space requirements by half. Also, the smaller space requirement at the perimeter of the building, which is where PG&E mandates the location of these transformers, allows the more valuable functions to be situated at the store fronts.
