CB Engineers responds to Corona Virus
To our employees, clients, and friends:
As the Corona Virus (COVID-19) is changing our world daily, we would like to share with all of you the steps we are taking to attempt to ensure everyone’s safety and to help prevent the spread of this virus.
Effective at mid-night tonight the 6 counties of Bay Area ( SF, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Marin, Contra Costa & Alameda) is requiring all residents to abide by shelter in place orders which means that everyone is to work from home, or stop working, unless they provide an essential service, which includes health care workers; police, fire and other emergency responders; and utility providers such as electricians, plumbers, and sanitation workers.
In compliance, CBE will be closing our SF Office at the end of our business day today. This order is in effect until April 7th.
We will however remain as productive as technically possible. Accounting /admin will operate remotely while the SF office premises is closed. Our servers will remain online and available for our work.
CBE will continue to monitor the situation and will provide multiple updates. We expect that construction sites will be shuttered and temporarily shut down. We will complete outstanding Construction Administration work in our inbox and focus on completing construction documentation work during this period. We’re going to adapt to the changing conditions and meet our Clients’ needs as best we can.
Our continuing investments in technology are allowing us to react quickly to the current situation. We will do everything we can to manage deadlines and meetings by utilizing video conferencing and other virtual platforms to engage with clients, consultants, and contractors in the weeks ahead.
We believe these steps will ensure minimal disruption for our ongoing projects.
If you have any questions, please contact our Principals and we ask for your patience and understanding during this time.
